Give this a shot... you won't be disappointed.
Ingredients - 1lb ground beef, ~1tbs garlic, 1tbs minced onion, cheddar cheese, tomatoe soup, 1 can cream of mushroom 1 can enchilada sauce, 1 can cream of chicken and Dorritos.
Start with the garlic and onion in the skillet.
Make sure to spread it all around so that it all heats up and gets some flavor going.
Drop your meat...
Use a spatula (or whatever you got) to break up the meat.
Now, let it cook... some stirring is required in order to get it evenly cooked and to prevent this all becoming one large mass (jumbo hamburger).
Once the meat is done...
Push it all of to one side and let the accumulated moisture boil off some. Yeah I know, supposed to drain the meat. But I just don't see the point in wasting that garlic and onion... so I start with some really lean meat (94/6) and just let the liquid boil out.
Dump in your cream of chicken, cream of mushroom and enchilada sauce.
Mix well. Kinda looks like some chile-con-carne... and if you were so disposed, could probably start dipping right now.
This mix works well in this 7ish x 10ish casserole pan.
Lay down a bottom layer of Dorritos...
Top with the meat mixture...
And spread out as evenly as possible.
Top with ~1 cup cheese (enough to evenly cover) and off to a 350F oven for ~20 minutes. Unless you've done this ahead... remember that most of this stuff is hot... so, you just want to make sure even heating throughout and melt some cheese.
From Before to After... looking pretty good.
Almost makes you want to start dipping right now.
But wait... here's how to plate... Put some dorritos down in the bowl to form a base layer.
Take a heaping serving from the pan and dump on the Dorritos.
You can even drop in some additional Dorritos around the edge.
Top with some extra cheese if desired and... Dig in.
Now who would have thought Dorritos were so versatile? This one is easy enough for anyone to try. Let us know how you like it. |
