Looking for something else to use ground beef for?  Don't skip out on the basic beef taco.  Master this one in about 30 minutes and you'll never need to know where the Taco Bell is.

Keeping it simple is the key to this one... packaged taco seasoning, ground beef, tortillas make up the basics... add some cheese and refried beans for a little something extra.

Brown your ground beef (if you need help with that, check out here)

While browning, get some water (per package) and the seasoning ready.  This is easier if you use the individual packets.... but I use this stuff for some general seasoning on other items, so the "bulk" container works for me.

Add the seasoning

 Add your water

Stir to mix well and let simmer.

After about 5 minutes, you are ready to go

In a rush, flour tortilla and meat work great.  Got a minute, add some cheese.  Got a couple of minutes, nuke the refired beans and lay some down first.

Quick, tasty and all yours.  Taco Bell won't have anything on you

If you like, use some of the hard shells.  Want to mimic another Taco Bell feast, lay down the tortilla, spread the beans, insert hard shell filled with meat and cheese and fold all together.

Unlike the Bell, you don't have to skimp yourself on the meat either.
