Macaroni and Cheese PDF Print E-mail

The classic mac and cheese from a box.  To some, it's still a mystery.  If so, then this is for you...

 

First - Fill a medium pan with about 1 qt water (this is the small box, not the family size)

Then - Bring it to a boil

Add your pasta (these are spirals) and don't worry about the water not boiling for now

Bring back to a boil

I noticed that at first the boiling rolls the pasta up on one side

As it continues, you start to see the pasta all around

After about 8 - 10 minutes, it's rolling up all around and left this little circle... I think I see a frog face in it

Drain the water, but do NOT rinse and put it back in the same pot (helps keep it warm)

Add butter (hmmm butter, in this case I use real unsalted, but I think anything works, or skip it)

Add the powdery goodness

Dump in some milk and stir until well incorporated (mixed up)
