thumb_pie_crust_cin_spin_12 They may not be the prettiest breakfast treats to come out of the oven.  But they carry their own in taste.

I've tried again to shortcut the process to get some cinnamon roll taste in less than 30 minutes.

Click the picture, or HERE, to see what I did right and more importantly what I did wrong in the latest experiment with Cinnamon Spirals.

thumb_oven_brisc_1_08 A brisket is a great thing.  And despite many people's belief, you can get a good brisket straight from the oven.

Make sure you have a good seasoning and some basic information and you are set.

The hardest part here is figuring out what else to serve with it.

The Basic BBQ Rub PDF Print E-mail
Written by Graydon
Saturday, 11 November 2006

thumb_basic_bbq_rub_01 I've had The BBQ Bible by Steven Raichlen for some time and finally decided it was time to try out some things.

So, I started with the Basic BBQ Rub.  I didn't have the last ingredient needed, but figured why not go for it.

It worked out great on a brisket that you'll see a bit later.  However, it didn't work on the chicken.

Now, the chicken failure was my fault.  I put WAY to much on and didn't give the salt any time to do it's magic.

So, if you want to try it out on chicken, then take the instructions in the book to heart and just SPRINKLE some on... don't dredge it.

But hey, my mistakes are here for your education as well.

thumb_malto_meal_muff_13If you are craving some of that home-made muffin taste and can't figure out how your mother made it... try some Malto-Meal muffins.

I don't remember when my mother told me that my favorite muffin was straight from the recipe on the side of the Malto-Meal box... but I've been making them ever since.

Give 'em a try and you'll agree... they are great.  They're even simple.
